WisdomTree Links MoonPay’s 30M Accounts to Its WTGXX Tokenized Fund, One Source Reports
WisdomTree is plugging MoonPay's payment rails into WisdomTree Prime, but the 30 million-account claim so far comes from one outlet.

WisdomTree is wiring MoonPay’s payment infrastructure into WisdomTree Prime, its tokenized-fund platform, giving MoonPay’s registered user base a new route into blockchain-based investment products such as the Government Money Market Digital Fund, ticker WTGXX. MoonPay puts that user base at more than 30 million registered accounts. As of this writing, that figure and the integration details trace to a single report; Cryptaur found no second independent outlet corroborating the specific terms.
What’s actually verified here
The core, confirmed fact is straightforward: WisdomTree is integrating MoonPay so that MoonPay users can access WisdomTree’s tokenized funds through WisdomTree Prime. WTGXX itself is a real, regulated fund, a government money market fund whose shares are recorded and distributed using blockchain infrastructure. It is not a stablecoin, and WisdomTree has been explicit about that distinction, since money market fund shares can fluctuate in value and carry different regulatory treatment than a fiat-pegged token.
What Cryptaur cannot independently verify is the 30 million registered-accounts figure. That number is a company claim from MoonPay, not an audited or third-party-confirmed metric. Readers building on top of this data point, whether for market sizing or for API integrations, should treat it as self-reported until a second source or a filing confirms it.
Why the on-ramp matters more than the headline number
Tokenized funds have a distribution problem that has nothing to do with the underlying asset. A fund can be fully compliant and on-chain, but if retail users cannot fund a purchase without navigating a bank wire or an unfamiliar exchange, adoption stalls. Plugging a consumer payments layer like MoonPay directly into a fund platform removes one of those friction points, letting a user move from fiat to a tokenized money market position without leaving the WisdomTree Prime interface.
That is the practical significance for holders and prospective buyers of WTGXX: easier funding, not a change to the fund’s underlying mechanics or yield structure. Nothing in the available reporting indicates a change to WTGXX’s investment strategy, fee schedule, or regulatory status as a result of the MoonPay integration.
A note on sourcing
Cryptaur reviewed reporting from two outlets on this cycle’s crypto news slate. Only one carried substantive facts about the WisdomTree-MoonPay integration; the second report in circulation concerned an unrelated Optimism network upgrade and contained no overlapping detail. That leaves the WisdomTree-MoonPay account single-sourced at this stage, worth flagging plainly rather than treating as confirmed simply because it appeared in a wire feed.
Cryptaur will update this story if a second independent outlet, a WisdomTree filing, or a MoonPay statement confirms deal terms, a launch date, or the account figure.
